Our Survival Guide for a Snowy Christmas when pregnant
We all know how difficult it is to organize Christmas let alone with all this snow, so we’ve pulled together to come up with the ultimate survival guide to keep you pregnant ladies going.
Snow has stopped online orders Nearly all of us have endured this, and the thought of tramping out in the snow when pregnant to search for the last offers is not an ideal prospect. Our solution? Easy – get creative! How about whipping up some delicious mince pies or a Christmas cake and wrapping them with a big bow – we absolutely love the design of these chocolate truffles. Or, how about making your own crackers and filling them with mini perfumes or nail polishes? This site has some fab ideas of how to do it.
Travel delays – This one is already causing havoc with the nation with many flights being cancelled. But we all know that at the end of the day we’ll go to long lengths to be with our loved ones so make sure if you are prepared to brave a journey you do it sensibly.
-
Make sure that you leave with plenty of time to spare as there’s nothing worse than missing your flight/train/Christmas because of delays.
-
Wear many warm layers that will keep you toasty but be easy to remove. Put on comfy yet non-restrictive washoes.
-
Take with you plenty of food and water.
-
Charge your phone AND have credit on it.
-
Take a blanket and pillow and try to nap where possible
Christmas dinner – If there is another bout of bad weather, delivery trucks may not get to the shops in time so just in case try and buy as much of your Christmas dinner as soon as possible. Make sure you have plenty of back ups to make sure you and your bump don’t get stressed this Christmas.
If you have any more solutions to add to our survival guide we’d love to hear them! Drop us a post and we’ll add them to the list. On that note, we’re off to make some fabulous Christmas truffles, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and thanks for following Amoralia in 2010! We’ll be back in the New Year with lots more hints and tips…
