Amoralia founder, Jules Fossett, details valuable advice: "It's important to wear a 'soft' or non-wired maternity bra as the underwire in a normal bra can create pressure on delicate breast tissue and sometimes cause inflammation - known as mastitis. You'll probably start looking for a maternity bra three months or so into your pregnancy, when you notice your breasts becoming tender, getting larger and your rib cage expanding.
Nursing bras should have breathable, natural fibre linings, supportive straps and easy to open nursing clips. As your cup size will be changing a lot - you can gain up to a cup size between feeds - you'll need to look for a bra that's stretchy but still supportive. You'll need four or five bras; one to wear, a spare to carry, one to sleep in and you'll probably have one or two in the wash".
