Sarah Michelle Gellar's bump begins to show

29th May 2012

It happens in every woman's pregnancy - that is she/isn't she period when friends can't quite figure out when you've been over-indulging on the Quality Street or if you have a little one on the way.

And it's this stage that always sets the Hollywood rumour-mill into overdrive, as glossies speculate like crazy on potential pregnancies among celebs due to the hint of a belly under a red carpet ball gown or concealed with an oversized cardie.

And, although Sarah Michelle Gellar has already stopped the speculation by announcing that she and her husband Freddie Prinze Jr are expecting a second child together, this doesn't mean that we weren't excited to see a glimmer of her bump as she stepped out in Los Angeles last week.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress was spotted by the Daily Mail looking every inch the perfect mother as she took her two-year-old daughter Charlotte Grace out for a stroll in the California sunshine.

Dressed in jeans and brown leather boots, a baby bump was just about visible under the 35-year-old's loose wool jumper.

Although the barely-there bump stage is an exciting period for all mums-to-be, it is also one of the most difficult times of your pregnancy to find the right maternity wear.

At this point you're not quite ready to splurge on a brand new maternity wardrobe but your old clothes may start to feel a bit tight and uncomfortable as your figure begins to change.

It's a good idea at this stage to sort through your existing clothes and dig out more loose-fitting pieces that won't make you feel constricted and will flow gently over your blossoming bump.

Tunic tops and wrap dresses are ideal for this stage, but steer clear of anything tight or clingy as these will be unflattering and uncomfortable as your belly begins to grow.

At Amoralia, we strive to make the most stylish, the most comfortable and the best quality maternity wear on the market. Click to see our range of beautiful maternity nightwear.
