Reese Witherspoon steps out in spotted maternity dress

Whether posing on the red carpet or relaxing with her family on holiday, Reese Witherspoon has always be known for her effortless fashion sense, so it's good to know that she's certainly not abandoned her style just because she's pregnant.

The 36-year-old was spotted in Los Angeles sporting a casual yet stylish black and white polka-dot maternity dress paired with comfy flip-flops while picking up her children from school.

While the Legally Blonde actress is yet to confirm her pregnancy, Reese's blossoming bump suggests that baby three is well on its way.

Although she looked relaxed and healthy as she strolled through the California sunshine, the expectant mum has had her fair share of drama recently having been supporting her parents in a legal battle.

Many mums-to-be will have to contend with stressful situations while expecting, whether it be concerns at work, anxieties about the birth or family problems such as Reese has been experiencing.

However, according to fertility and pregnancy expert Emma Cannon, it is important to take steps to keep stress at bay while you are expecting, both for you own health and for that of your baby.

"Like any major life changing experience pregnancy can be a stressful time," she said. "It is also a time of great joy and it is important to not let the stress take over. It is a time when a woman can really focus on her health, perhaps truly for the first time."

While factors such as exercise and diet can play a role in tackling anxieties while expecting, the expert has suggested a few simple techniques to help you unwind and ease pregnancy worries.

"Simply lying down and focusing on the baby can be an effective way to down load from the day," she advised.

"Ask yourself what you need to be happy and calm and see what comes to you - you would be amazed how wise the pregnant body is. You already have all the answers inside you - it's just a matter of tuning in."
