Time to think about Spring Summer… 2011
We’re only half way through our AW’10 selling season but it’s already time to brief our factory on the new Spring Summer ’11 styles… the fashion cycle is crazy!
I’m pretty excited about the new pieces – we’ll have to keep quiet until June/July (we’re sure our competitors don’t read our little blog, but just in case…) – but we will be developping our best-selling Second Skin collection, and introducing super-pretty, wearable styles in the Cupcake range – as well as a few surprises. I was inspired by my aboslute-favourite blog Style Me Pretty; it’s all about fresh, feminine, romantic colours and pretty detailing. (guess who got married last year and obsessed over the site…!)
If there’s something you’ve been looking for and can’t find; a pretty nursing top, a maternity bikini, a particular colour of bra – anything really – then please let us know so that we can build it in to our collection!
Our new collections are on their way!
Exciting day today – our lovely new Spring Summer collections are winging their way to our warehouse. It’s always gratifying, after months of hard work (we had to start planning these almost a year ago!) to see the fruits of our labour arrive safely, box-fresh and bright. Remember this time last year? Doom-and-gloom in the City, credit crunch headlines day after day, a grey, wet winter… so we reacted by injecting colour, and joy, and fun into our normally more muted styles. We were also having a sweet-tooth moment, hence the new names: Tutti Frutti (remember those penny sweets?) and Cupcake (check out this recipe for Hummingbird Bakery’s Red Velvet cupcakes. It’s weird, but it totally works. Yum!).
